Jan Rezek

January Rezek ( born May 5, 1982 in Teplice ) is a Czech football player.

Club career

January Rezek began playing football at Sokol Brezno, 1995, he moved to Chomutov. Two years later he was obliged by FK Teplice. In early 2002 lent Teplice the then 19 -year-old striker back to Chomutov from. In the second league Rezek scored four goals in 13 games, and he was brought back to the 2002/03 season from FK Teplice and included in the Erstligakader. In his first Erstligasaison the attacker get two goals in 23 appearances, in which he played mostly not. Rezek made ​​in autumn 2003, attracted attention when he met in the UEFA Cup, both against 1 FC Kaiserslautern and against Feyenoord Rotterdam and thus made ​​for each of the next round of his team. In the first half of the season 2003/ 04 he played 13 league games and scored a goal.

In January 2004 he was engaged by Sparta Prague. In ten games for the capital club, he managed only one hit. In the same year, the injured striker and managed as a result no longer connect to the first team. The second half of the season 2004/ 05 he spent at the B- team of Sparta in the second league, where he scored two goals in 14 games.

In Sparta Prague with little perspective changed Rezek in August 2005 for the then Russian second division side FC Kuban Krasnodar, where the former Czech coach Jozef Chovanec worked. In Krasnodar, the Czech signed a two and a half year contract. As Krasnodar end of 2005 missed the targeted promotion, Chovanec left the club. After three months of preparation in early 2006 Krasnodar committed on the last possible transfer day four strikers, in the great competition played Rezek only rarely.

In June 2006, he moved back to the Gambrinus League to Viktoria Plzen, where coaches Michal Bilek had shown special interest in him. In February 2008, Rezek moved to end of the season on loan to Bohemians 1905. Early July 2008 changed the attacker to his former club Viktoria Plzen.

Since July 2011, he plays for Anorthosis Famagusta FC in Cyprus.

National

January Rezek played twice for the Czech Under-21 national team. He made his debut on 29 April 2003 in a 1-1 draw in Turkey, he played 37 minutes. The 2-1 against Switzerland in Basel on 15 November 2003 he appeared as a substitute in the 89th minute for Václav Svěrkoš.
