Jan Suchopárek

January Suchopárek ( born September 23, 1969 in Kladno ) is a former Czech football player and current coach.

Career

Suchopárek began with Poldi Kladno, which he left in 1988 to do his military service at Dukla Prague. There, the 1.84 m wide defender was a regular player quickly. From 1991 to 1996 he played for Slavia Prague, where he became one of the best defensive players in the Czech Republic.

On September 25, 1991 Suchopárek made ​​his international debut, he was also part of the Czech team at the European Championships in 1996. He then moved to Racing Strasbourg, and there he was among the top performers. 1999 Suchopárek had an offer from VfB Stuttgart and by the then second division Tennis Borussia Berlin, for 1.25 million DM, he moved to Berlin. Despite 23 inserts and a goal commitment was seen as a failure, Suchopárek returned in the summer of 2000 back to his former club Slavia Prague. But the now 31 -year-old sweeper was on its zenith addition, even for the 2000 European Championships he had not been taken into account. In the first team he came up with only 17 appearances in three years, the majority of it was used in the third league in B- team.

For the season 2003/ 04 Suchopárek returned to his original club SK Kladno, where he helped to promotion to the 1st League. In 2005 he finished his pro career, but he continues to play for the team, his place of residence Družec. He is also a director of youth at SK Kladno and 2005/06 was also coach of the local A- youth.
