Jan ten Brink

Jan ten Brink ( born June 15, 1834 in Appingedam, † July 18, 1901 in Leiden ) was a Dutch writer.

He studied in Utrecht, was awarded in 1857 for his work " De aesthetic waarde van Brederoo 's dramatic arbeid " a price, obtained in 1860 the theological doctorate degree, lived it as an educator in Batavia, where he undertook a tour of the island of Java (described in the work " Op de borders of the Preanger ", Amsterdam 1861), and was hired after his return in 1862 as a teacher of Dutch language and literature at the high school in the Hague. In 1872 he took over the editorship of the literary magazine " Nederland ". From the above prize essay he bought in 1859 by a new process; his other literary works are:
