Janet Moreau
Janet Moreau Stone ( born October 26, 1927) is a former American track and field athlete and Olympic champion.
She was from 1949 to 1952 a member of the All America team in 1951 and the first time a member of the U.S. national team, with which you won the gold medal in the 4 x 100 - meter relay at the Pan -American Games right away. In 1953 it was about 200 meters U.S. indoor champion at the U.S. Indoor Championships in Buffalo.
A year later she became a member of the U.S. Olympic team and won at the XV. Summer Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952, along with their teammates Mae Faggs, Barbara Jones and Catherine Hardy, the 4 x 100 - meter relay in a new world record time of 45.9 s before the team of Germany (Silver) and the team from UK (bronze).
