Janis Paige

Janis Paige ( born September 16, 1922 in Tacoma, Washington; actually: Donna Mae Tjaden ) is an American actress who is best known in musical comedies in the 1940s and 1950s.

Life and career

The spirited redhead had as a child such a powerful singing voice that her mother she wanted to train to become an opera singer. But Donna Mae showed more tendency to show business. She moved to Los Angeles, changed her name and got during the Second World War, an engagement as a singer at the Hollywood Canteen, one financed by the film studios entertainment venue for soldiers.
