Japanese Alps

The Japanese Alps (Japanese日本 アルプス, Nihon Alps ) are a mountain range on the Japanese island of Honshu, consisting of the mountain ranges of the Hida Mountains (Northern Alps), the Kiso Mountains ( Central Alps ) and the Akaishi Mountains ( Southern Alps ).

In the Japanese Alps, three thousand are like the Kita- dake with 3193 m TP and the Hotaka -dake with 3190 m T.P..

The mountain Ontake ( 3067 m TP ) is not only a place of pilgrimage, but also an active volcano, its last eruptions were in 1979 and 1980.
