Jared Bernstein

Jared Bernstein ( born December 26, 1955) is an American economist and December 2008 Chief Economist and Economic Policy Advisor at U.S. Vice President Joe Biden as well as Head of the Middle Class Task Force.

Bernstein has the degree of Ph.D. acquired in Social Welfare from Columbia University. He became a member of the Economic Policy Institute in 1992. 1995-1996 he served as Deputy Chief Economist Department of Labor Robert B. Reich in under.

As an economic researcher Bernstein was concerned with such individual aspects of the U.S. economy such as inequality, social mobility, low wages, economic policies of the U.S. federal government and the states, including international comparisons.

He is co-author of eight editions across The State of Working America. He has published articles in the New York Times, Washington Post and The American Prospect, as well as contributions to the broadcaster CNBC.

His most recent books are titled All Together Now: Common Sense for a Fair Economy and Crunch: Why Do I Feel So Squeezed? ( And Other Unsolved Economic Mysteries ).
