Jared Borgetti

Jared Francisco Borgetti Echavarría ( born August 14, 1973 in Culiacán, Sinaloa ) is a former Mexican football player.

His nickname is Zorro del Desierto ( " Desert Fox ").

Career

Borgetti is a prolific striker and is regarded as one of the best header of a ball in the world. Although he received many offers from Europe after the 2002 World Cup and the Italian applied passport because he has Italian grandparents, he remained in Mexico. Borgetti played in 2005 at the Mexican club Pachuca CF.
