Dorados de Sinaloa

Club Social y Deportivo Dorados de Sinaloa Dorados de Sinaloa also known as or shortly Dorados, is a Mexican football club based in Culiacan, who was only founded on 19 June 2003.

History

The club was named after the Dorado ( sea bream and sea bream ), a typical species of fish on the coast of Sinaloa. These fish are considered to be strong fighters by nature and as pack animals who help each other; which they the club Dorados de Sinaloa embody the philosophy perfectly.

With the support of the federal government of Sinaloa, the club acquired in the summer of 2003, the license of the previous second division club Deportivo Cihuatlán to Liga 'A' to play in the future in its place in the Primera. To be suitable second division, a stadium was built with a capacity of 13,000 seats in less than three months. It was named after Carlos Gonzales, who had made ​​the land available. Later, the stadium was expanded to a capacity of 20,000.

The fledgling club immediately won the Apertura 2003 and also met with in the subsequent Clausura 2004 to the finals before.
