Dorados de Sinaloa
Club Social y Deportivo Dorados de Sinaloa Dorados de Sinaloa also known as or shortly Dorados, is a Mexican football club based in Culiacan, who was only founded on 19 June 2003.
History
The club was named after the Dorado ( sea bream and sea bream ), a typical species of fish on the coast of Sinaloa. These fish are considered to be strong fighters by nature and as pack animals who help each other; which they the club Dorados de Sinaloa embody the philosophy perfectly.
With the support of the federal government of Sinaloa, the club acquired in the summer of 2003, the license of the previous second division club Deportivo Cihuatlán to Liga 'A' to play in the future in its place in the Primera. To be suitable second division, a stadium was built with a capacity of 13,000 seats in less than three months. It was named after Carlos Gonzales, who had made the land available. Later, the stadium was expanded to a capacity of 20,000.
The fledgling club immediately won the Apertura 2003 and also met with in the subsequent Clausura 2004 to the finals before. Had he won this, the Dorados were ascended as the winner of both series half of the season 2003/ 04 directly to the first division. They made it exciting, however, and lost the Clausura Finals against Club León with 0:1 and 1:1, so they had to compete in the Finals rise again against the same opponents. After the Apertura 2005 was once again finished as fourth group, the Dorados increased in the Clausura 2006 to third place in the group. To participate in the Liguilla they were nevertheless not entitled because the team was relegated due to the complicated calculation procedure.
After the preliminary round group of the Apertura finished in 2006 in the second division with only the 10th place (out of 12 participants ), the Dorados succeeded in winning the Clausura 2007. Yet in the rise finals they lost a little unhappy with 1:1 and 2:3 against the Puebla FC.
Dorados de Sinaloa in 2012 to win the first team to Copa México after its reintroduction in the Apertura. In the final, they sat down as a second division against league rivals UAT Correcaminos on penalties 5-4 through after it was tied after the regular season 2-2.
