Jared Deacon

Jared Deacon (Jared Mark Deacon, born 15 October 1975, in South Shields ) is a former British sprinter and hurdler, who had his greatest successes in the 4 x 400 - meter relay.

At the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, he belonged to the British relay that finished fifth.

In 2000 he won gold in both the English team at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester as well as with the British team at the European Athletics Championships in Munich.

Jared Deacon started for the South Shields Harriers Athletic Club.
