Järva - Madise ( historical German name of St. Matthew ) is a village (Estonian küla ) in the Estonian rural municipality in the district of Albu Järva.

Location and History

Järva - Madise is the capital of the rural community Albu ( Albu vald ). The village has 95 inhabitants ( 2010). It was first documented in 1427. Järva - Madise was with his pastorate until the 19th century the center of the same parish ( Järva - Madise kihelkond ).
