Jason MacIntyre

Jason MacIntyre ( born September 20, 1973 in Lochgilphead, Argyll, Scotland, † January 15, 2008 in Fort William, Scotland ) was a British racing cyclist.

Life

MacIntyre had lived since the age of ten in Fort William. There he attended Lochaber High School. The company Nevis print he was trained as a printer and lithographer.

It was not until the age of 18 he started cycling, in which he achieved the first successes quickly. At the age of 23 years MacIntyre won the Tour of the North of Ireland. After a three year hiatus In 2000 he gave a comeback and won annually since then at least one Scottish league titles in a variety of team and individual disciplines. In 2002 he was part of the Scottish team at the Commonwealth Games. Overall MacIntyre won 13 Scottish and three British title.

In 2006 he was British champion in the time trial. In the years 2006 and 2007 he won the national championships of the RTTC than 25 miles and 2007 he improved Graeme Obrees Scottish time trial record over ten miles. MacIntyre drove last for the Scottish The Edge Racing Team.

January 15, 2008 MacIntyre died after a traffic accident at a training ride. He was married and leaves two daughters (* 1999).
