Jason Mayélé

Jason Mayélé ( born January 4, 1976 in Kinshasa; † 2 March 2002 Bussolengo ) was a Congolese football player.

Club career

Mayélé spent his childhood in Zaire, now the Democratic Republic of Congo until he moved to France in 1985. There he began to play football, but also dabbled in the sports of boxing and basketball. After a stint at a small club from Brunoy the player was taken in 1994 by the second division side LB Châteauroux under contract. In his first season he came to regular operations and could advance in the course of the season 1996/97 for regular players. At the end, he also succeeded in promotion to the top French league. According to the Direct relegated again in 1998, Mayélé opted for a move abroad and signed with the Italian first division club Cagliari Calcio. In Cagliari in Sardinia, he remained first team regular, rose with the team in 1999 but from the second division and then lost a his place. National

Death
