Jason McCartney (cyclist)

Jason McCartney ( born September 3, 1973) is an American professional road bicycle racer.

McCartney started his professional career in 1999 at NutraFig. After two years he moved to Jelly Belly and was able to win 2002 Tour of Kansas City. In 2003 he came to 7 UP Maxxis. In the 2004 season he won a stage of the Tour de Georgia. From 2005 he drove for the U.S. ProTeam Discovery Channel, for which he received the Giro d' Italia and Vuelta a España once denied twice. There he won the 2007 the fourteenth stage and was able to celebrate the biggest success of his career. In 2008 he moved to Team CSC- Saxo Bank, took part in the Giro and twice again in 2010 joined the newly formed Team RadioShack at. In 2012 he won a stage of the Volta a Portugal for UnitedHealthcare. Since 2013 McCartney goes for Bissell Cycling.
