Javier Balboa

Javier Ángel Balboa Osa (born 13 May 1985 in Madrid) is a Spanish- Equatorial Guinean football player. His preferred position is right midfield.

Career

, Often called Javi Balboa Rocky Balboa, has its roots in Equatorial Guinea. His parents Ricardo and the Purification fled during the dictatorship of Francisco Macías Nguema to Spain, where Javi came two years later in Madrid to the world. He began his football career in the suburb of Alcala de Henares, in the clubs CD Avance and RSD Alcalá, before he finally moved to Real Madrid at age 14. In the summer of 2005, he was part of the squad of the second team Real Madrid Castilla. The following season he celebrated on 26 October against Deportivo La Coruña his debut in the Primera División, on December 6, he ran in the UEFA Champions League against Olympiakos Piraeus on. In the summer of 2006, he was awarded for one year at Racing Santander to gain match practice. After his return to the " Royal " he could win with his team the championship, it brought here, however, only five missions. In summer 2008, undertook the Portuguese giants Benfica Balboa. With the Brussels residents him the win was in the Taça da Liga. In the winter of 2010 he moved on loan until end of season for FC Cartagena in Segunda División Spanish. Since he was hardly considered even after his return to Benfica, he moved in winter 2011, again on loan to Albacete Balompié. In summer 2011, the Portuguese first division side SC Beira -Mar obliged the right winger.

National

Balboa debuted on June 2, 2007 compared Rwanda in the Equatorial Guinea national football team. Balboa shot at the Africa Cup of 2012, the first goal of the tournament when he scored against Libya in the final phase to 1:0 for Equatorial Guinea.
