Jawornica, Lower Silesian Voivodeship

Jawornica ( German Jauernig; Czech Javornice or Javorník ) is a village in the powiat Kłodzki in the Province of Lower Silesia in Poland. It belongs to the rural community Lewin Kłodzki and lies four kilometers west of Duszniki - Zdrój.

Geography

Jawornica lies in the west of the Glatzer boiler. Neighboring towns are Zielone in the north, Duszniki -Zdrój in the northeast, Wapienniki ( Hordis ) in the east, Kozia Hala (goat house ) in the southeast, Zimne Vody in the south, Jerzykowice Małe in the southwest and Witów in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Jauernig that was gepfarrt to the parish church of St. Michael in Lewin, took place in 1477, when it was on a list of belonging to the reign Hummel villages as Jawornicz. The rule Hummel was independent until then, and in the same year by Henry the Elder. connected to the County of Glatz. 1561 acquired the Bohemian sovereign dominion Hummel. Even after its dissolution in 1595 the associated villages remained in the possession of the royal chamber. This sold Jauernig 1684 the owner of the domain Rückers, Johann of Hartig Isaias.

After the Silesian Wars Jauernig came together with the county of Glatz in 1763 with the Peace of Hubertusburg to Prussia. 1793 consisted of 27 houses where 167 people lived. After the reorganization of Prussia belonged since 1815 to the province of Silesia and was from 1816 to 1945 the county Glatz incorporated. It formed its own rural community and belonged to the district of Tassau. 1939 165 inhabitants were counted. As a result of World War II Jauernig fell in 1945 as almost all of Silesia to Poland and was renamed Jawornica. The German population was expelled. The new inhabitants were partly displaced persons from eastern Poland. 1975-1998 belonged to Jawornica Voivodeship Wałbrzych.
