Jay Chandrasekhar
Jayanth Jambulingam Chandrasekhar ( born April 9, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, director and member of the comedy group Broken Lizard.
Biography
Chandrasekhar was born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of two doctors of Tamil origin, both from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
He went to the Lake Forest Academy to school and graduated from Colgate University, where he was part of the comedy troupe Charred Goosebeak along with the other later Broken Lizard members.
He was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
Chandrasekhar is known for his direction of The Dukes of Hazzard, as well as the Broken Lizard films Super Troopers, Club Dread and Beerfest. He joined as well as a taxi - driver of the " Terror Taxi " in the movie Jackass: Number Two. Rare for his directing of The Dukes comes alone he got the Razzie awarded in 2006.
He is the cousin of actor Sendhil Ramamurthy, who plays the role of Mohinder Suresh in the television series Heroes.
He currently resides in Mahopac, New York.
