Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors (French Jayce et les Conquerants de la Lumière ) is a French / American / Japanese animated television series. In the series, two enemy groups are facing. The good guys are human nature and are called Lightning League. On the side of evil, a group of beings is with organic vegetable origin, which are called Monster Minds and mainly use green and black vehicles.

Since the toy line from Mattel on which the series is based, no background story contained some characters and a backstory were created for the adaptation.

Action

Jayce is the son of the brilliant botanist Audric. From the experiments, including the humanoid girl Flora was born. Another result of his research is a kind of miracle grain, which can thrive under all environmental conditions and ultimately to end hunger in the galaxy. Through a solar flare his plant is transformed into an evil life form which bears the name of Saw Boss. Other plants in the laboratory Audrics be modified by the stellar lights and turn on the Monster Minds. He then developed a weapon to defeat the evil plants to destroy. Nevertheless, he must flee before he can use them, and shares the weapon into two parts. The one he keeps, the other he gives his confidant Oon to provide with the order for the safety of his son Jayce.

Later Jayce starts as leader of the Lightning League in search of his father Audric and the fight against the monsters Minds. They use white and silver vehicles and the space ship Pride of the Skies II The Monster Minds, however, possess a kind of climbing plant, which meanders through the interstellar space and, through its rung their germs to other worlds, the very fast due to the rapid growth multiply Monster Minds. Leader of the Monster Minds is Saw Boss.

Finally, Jayce can with his father united to destroy the monster Minds.

Production and publication

The production of the series took over the company DiC Enterprises and ICC TV Productions. Most episodes of the series were written by the French author Jean Chalopin and Haskell Barkin. J. Michael Straczynski was a producer while Shuki Levy composed the music.

The first broadcast of the series took place from 16 September 1985 in the UK by Channel 4 and Sky Channel instead. A French-language version of the series was broadcast on TF1 and children's program of the U.S. market originally covered by broadcast syndication, only a few years later, the series was included in the "Cartoon Express " block. In the United States and France, the series was released on DVD.
