Jean Joseph Vinache

Jean Joseph Vinache (* 1696 in Paris, † December 1, 1754 ) was a French sculptor.

Life

Vinache is most likely the son of the French sculptor and bronze caster Joseph Vinache. Already in 1708 he studied at the Paris Académie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture in the great French sculptor Antoine Coysevox. The Elector Frederick Augustus I of Saxony and King August II of Poland ( Augustus the Strong ) ordered to bring in the residence city of Dresden in 1719 through his art agent Jean -Joseph Vinache. He should realize the dream of the king, an unprecedented equestrian statue. And it Vinache, August the Strong succeeded on an ascending horse with Regent bar in scale armor represented as Roman legionary and generals. This custom built around 1717 to 1730 model, first from plaster and later of bronze, from the Dresden Art and cannon caster Johann Gottfried Weinhold, located in the fundus of the State Art Collections Dresden. According to this model, the Golden Rider was born at Dresden Neustadt market, which was unveiled and dedicated in a ceremony on November 26, 1736.

In the meantime, he had participated in the sculptural decoration of the palace in the big garden and the park. He also completed works of the late Francois friend Coudray for the park of the palace in the Great Garden. The Dresden Elbklima displeased Vinache less and less, so that he returned to again in 1736 to Paris. There he became a member of the Académie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture in 1741 and works to henceforth in a studio at the Louvre. Here is a variety of artworks for Paris and the surrounding area emerged. The marble statue of Hercules, captivated by Cupid for the Louvre, the Paris church of Saint -Paul -Saint -Louis, the marble figure angel of religion, heresy shattering. He also created a bronze relief Death of St. Therese of the chapel at Versailles or at the park of the Palace of Versailles, the marble figure Menars. In 1754 he died at age 58 in Paris.
