Jean Marie River
Jean Marie River ( Slavey: Tthek'éhdélį " on clover flowing water" ) is a " Designated Authority " in the Dehcho region of the Northwest Territories in Canada. The community is located at the mouth of Jean Marie River in the Mackenzie River. The town has an airport and is the same all year round accessible by charter flights. According to the statistical agency of the Northwest Territories which is connected by an all weather road to the Mackenzie Highway, according to the Parliament of the Northwest Territories, the place is connected only in the winter with the highway. The next Royal Canadian Mounted Police station in Fort Simpson and is available in Jean Marie River neither a hospital nor an ambulance, but a health station, the " Jean Marie Health Cabin ". There is a single grocery store. Education provides the " Louie Norwegian School ", which reaches up to the tenth grade.
Demography
According to the Canadian census of 2006, Jean Marie River 81 inhabitants, the majority of whom are First Nations. The two main languages are South Slavey and English.

The Dene of the town are represented by the Jean Marie River First Nation and belong to the Dehcho First Nations.
