Jean-Paul Fouchécourt

Jean -Paul Fouchécourt ( born August 30, 1958 in Blanzy in the department of Saône -et -Loire ) is a French singer of the vocal range tenor ( haute - contre ), which was especially known for his interpretations of French Baroque music of the composer Rameau and Lully, in the however, recent years expanded his repertoire, which now includes lots of works by Hector Berlioz, Jacques Offenbach, Benjamin Britten, Maurice Ravel and Giuseppe Verdi.

He sang under conductors such as William Christie, Charles Dutoit, James Levine, Sir Simon Rattle, Marc Minkowski, René Jacobs, Seiji Ozawa, Myung- Whun Chung, Valery Gergiev, James Conlon and Nikolaus Harnoncourt.
