Jean-Pierre Castaldi

Jean -Pierre Castaldi ( born October 1, 1944 in Grenoble, France) is a French actor.

Life

Jean -Pierre Castaldi was born during the study period of his father In Castaldi in Grenoble. After studying mechanical engineering moved to Oran, Algeria. For a time he lived on Filicudi, Sicily, before he spent his youth in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He learned relatively quickly English, Spanish and French. He traveled a lot and came back in 1954 without his parents to France. This was followed a year later, after Juan Perón was overthrown. After he was brought up for two years by the Jesuits, he lived with his parents in 1960 in Paris. In 1965 he started in parallel with its economic and language studies with the studied acting under René Simon and Raymond Girard. In particular, the encounter with Jean -Laurent Cochet meant that he broke off his studies to devote himself entirely to acting.

After his studies he played under Sacha Guitry Theatre and frequently appeared in several series and movies as an extra and nameless supporting roles. In 1973 he first played a leading role in a feature film. In the staged by Michel Huisman French drama Ras le bol he played onde on the side of Xavier Gélin and Ève Bonfanti.

Castaldi was married to actress Catherine Allégret, with whom he had their son Benjamin Castaldi. Currently, he is married to Corinne Champeval, with whom he has two children together.
