Jean Pierre Marie Orchampt

Jean Pierre Marie Orchampt ( born December 9, 1923 in Vesoul, Haute- Saône, France) is a retired bishop of Angers.

Life

Jean Pierre Marie Orchampt received on 29 June 1948, the ordination.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on 14 June 1971 for the Titular Bishop of Aquae in Mauretania and Auxiliary Bishop in Montpellier. He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of Besançon, Marc -Armand Lallier, on 18 September of the same year; Co-consecrators were Curia Archbishop Bernardin Gantin and Cyprien Tourel, Bishop of Montpellier.

On 5 July 1974 he was appointed bishop of Angers. On 20 March 2000 Pope John Paul II accepted his pre- mounted resignation for reasons of age.
