Jean-Pierre Mazery

S. E. Jean -Pierre Mazery ( born December 5, 1942 in Paris) is of Honour and Devotion Grand Cross - Bailli in obedience and since 2005, the Grand Chancellor of the Order of Malta, one of the four High Officers of the Order.

Life

After the study of Economic and Social Sciences and Philosophy at the Sorbonne, Harvard Business School and the Hague Academy of International Law, he was a consultant to the OECD, in charge of the Ministry of Environment, advisor to the Ministry of Culture, Head of Cabinet of the President of the Commerce and Industry Chamber of Paris, director of the French Committee for the promotion of international vocational training and advisor of the Center for Arms of Defense.

He was also a consultant for the French foreign trade expert with the Economic and Social Council and Professor at the Center for Economic Development and for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies. He is Honorary President of the National Institute for Defense customer.

Mazery is married to Christiane de Nicolay and father of three children.

Religious Life

France

Mazery was inducted into the Order in 1975 and in 1979 member of the Council of the French Association, was from 1990 to 2005 Vice President and General Treasurer of the Association of the French Hospital works of the Order of Malta from 1990 to 2002 Member of the Advisory Board of the Hospital of HL. Family in Bethlehem, and since 2002 has been president of the Foundation of the French Hospital of the Order.

Rome

From 1984 to 1994 he was a member of the Accounts Chamber of the Order. In June 1999, he was elected by the General Chapter of the Order of the Sovereign Council and from 1999 to 2004 Chairman of the Communications Committee. Re-elected in June 2004, he was appointed in October 2004 as Deputy Registrar. After the recovery, for family reasons resignation of the Grand Chancellor Count Jacques de Liedekerke Bailli Mazery was elected on 16 April 2005 by the Sovereign Council ( religious government ) to the Grand Chancellor and re-elected on 8 June 2009 for five years by the General Chapter.
