Jean-Yves Cuendet

Jean -Yves Cuendet ( born February 20, 1970 in Le Sentier, Switzerland ) is a former Swiss Nordic combined.

The launching of the SC Esserts de Rive Cuendet celebrated his biggest success at the Olympic Winter Games of 1994, when he won the bronze medal in the team competition along with Hippolytus Kempf and Andreas Schaad.

This podium he could repeat a year later at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1995. Together with Mark Wüst, Armin Krugel and Stefan Wittwer, he reached the third place in Switzerland behind Japan and Norway.

In the Nordic Combined World Cup Cuendet launched for the first time in the 1990/91 season at the races in Upper Wiesenthal, in which he could immediately occupy the eighth place. With a total of 19 World Cup starts, however, he managed only once third in Sapporo on the podium.

In the season 1992/93 he managed with his eighth place in the overall World Cup his best overall placement.
