Jeanie Bryson

Jeanie Bryson ( born March 10, 1958 in New York City ) is an American jazz singer and the only daughter of jazz legend Dizzy Gillespie and songwriter Connie Bryson.

Bryson studied anthropology at Rutgers University. There, she also met the jazz pianist Kenny Barron know who was a professor at the university and who supported her as a jazz singer in the development of their career.

She has toured North and South America, Europe and Asia. She took with several major jazz musicians on albums, and has since released five solo albums.
