Jeanne Bates

Jeanne Bates ( born May 21, 1918 in Berkeley, California, † 28 November 2007 in Woodland Hills ) was an American actress.

Life

Bates began her career as a student at San Mateo Junior College: She played in the San Francisco Mystery Radio Show Whodunit by Lew X. Lansworth with. Thanks to her voice she quickly became known and 1942 taken from Columbia Pictures under contract, where it was first seen in mystery- horror films. 1943 married Bates Lansworth with whom she was until his death in 1981 together.

Bates starred in many television series and had minor roles in movies. Overall, she has appeared in over 130 productions. She died on 28 November 2007 from breast cancer.
