Jeanne Gang

Jeanne Gang (born 1964 or 1965 in Illinois ) is an American architect.

Life

She studied at the University of Illinois, where he made her Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Your Master she made then at Harvard University Graduate School of Design (GSD).

After working for the architectural firm Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA ) of Rem Koolhaas, she founded in 1997 in Chicago by Studio Gang Architects their own office for architecture and design, which she heads today.

She is married to Mark Schendel, with whom she directs Studio Gang Architects.

She was a visiting professor or guest lecturer, inter alia, at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Yale School of Architecture and Princeton University graduate design studio.

Jeanne Gang procured international recognition for the design of the Aqua Tower, a 262 meter high residential and hotel tower in Chicago. The Aqua Tower won the 2009 Emporis Skyscraper of the Year Award and in 2010 was a finalist for the International Highrise Award of the German Architecture Museum.

In 2011 she was awarded the MacArthur Fellow.
