Jérôme Cahuzac

Jérôme Cahuzac ( born June 19, 1952 in Talence, Gironde ) is a French politician. He was on May 16, 2012 to March 19, 2013 Minister with responsibility for the budget of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Foreign Trade in the Cabinet Ayrault I or II Ayrault He was one of the Parti Socialiste (PS ) to before this him in April 2013 precluded.

Life

After schooling Cahuzac studied medicine and was after graduation as a medical doctor working as a surgeon, where he was between 1984 and 1988 assistant physician at the Medical Clinic of the Hôpitaux de Paris. After the prosecutor's office had launched an investigation on suspicion of tax evasion, he resigned on March 19, 2013, but denied the accusation. He is alleged to have had up to 2009 undeclared bank accounts at the Swiss bank UBS and the Geneva financial companies Reyl & Cie from 2010 in Singapore. His successor was Bernard Cazeneuve. On April 2, 2013, admitted the existence of the account and declared to have been caught in a spiral of lies.
