Jerry March

Jerry March ( born August 1, 1929 in Brooklyn, † 25 December 1997) was an American chemist and well-known author.

Jerry March studied chemistry and received in 1951 the degree BS from City College and in 1953 a Master degree from Brooklyn College. In 1956 he was at Penn State University for Ph.D. doctorate. Later he became professor of organic chemistry at Adelphi University in New York. Jerry March was particularly well-known as author of the standard reference book March's Advanced Organic Chemistry. He died on December 25, 1997, from pancreatic cancer. He was married and leaves behind three children.
