Jersey Airport is located in the commune of Saint Peter on the Channel Island of Jersey.

History

In 1937 there were flights to Jersey with double deckers and some seaplanes that used the beach of St Aubin 's Bay. Among the airlines who offered these compounds were the Jersey Airways and Imperial Airways. But the conditions for landings and take-offs were difficult and the schedule was determined by the tides. It had to be taken that were staying during operation no passers-by in the landing area. The parliament of Jersey decided, therefore, to establish a separate airport. This took 1937 on his service. Jersey is connected to numerous destinations in the UK and Ireland, including London, Edinburgh and Dublin.
