Jessica Pratt

Jessica Pratt ( born 1979 in Bristol ) is an English-born Australian opera and concert singer of the vocal range soprano.

Life and work

Jessica Pratt studied singing in Europe and Australia. She attended master classes among others, Joan Sutherland, Renata Scotto, Gustav Kuhn and Siegfried Jerusalem. The artist has won several awards and scholarships including at the Australian Singing Competition at the Opera of Rome and at the Vienna State Opera.

She is a regular on stages and festivals such as the Teatro alla Scala, Teatro San Carlo, the Rossini Opera Festival, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro La Fenice, the Vienna State Opera, the Zurich Opera, the German Opera Berlin, the festival Caramoor and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden heard and has worked with conductors such as Daniel Oren, Kent Nagano, Ralf Weikert, Donato Renzetti, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Wayne Marshall, Christian Thielemann, David Parry, Nello Santi and Sir Colin Davis.

In addition to her stage presence Jessica Pratt has worked as a recital and concert singer. She sang at the New Year Concert 2012 at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, which was broadcast by arte.
