Jeżyczki

Jeżyczki ( German New Hagen, Abbey - County Schlawe / Pomerania ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship and is part of the rural community Darłowo (Rügenwalde ) in a circle Sławno ( Schlawe ).

Geographical location

The farming village Jeżyczki located in Pomerania eleven kilometers southeast of Darłowo (Rügenwalde ). His district is bounded on the west by the Grabowa ( Grabow ), in the north of Jeżyce ( Old Hagen), to the east of the Forest of Nowy Kraków and south of Przystawy ( Pirbstow ). The terrain is hilly, the highest elevation is 36.5 meters above sea level.

Place name

The term New Hagen Abbey aims to distinguish it from the most Jezioro Wicko ( Vietzker lake ) situated town New Hagen Office (Polish: Jezierzany ). With " Abbey " is the former belonging to the monastery meant Buckow - in contrast to the " official " village New Hagen.

History

In New Hagen, Abbey is a settlement that was probably built in the 13th century. They belonged to the monastery Buckow. The time of origin is likely somewhat later than the neighboring village of Old Hagen ( today Polish: Jeżyce ) have located. After the Reformation, the abbey village came to the Office Rügenwalde. 1780 are counted in New Hagen: 1 free Schulze, 16 farmers, 4 Straßenkossäten, 8 Büdner and one school building for a total of 31 fireplaces.

In 1830 the " cultivation " said smaller half of the village was built. At that time the place was one of 298 inhabitants, whose number rose to 603 by 1885 and 1939, amounted to 569.

By 1945, New Hagen was a municipality in District Peter Hagen ( Pęciszewko ) in the district Schlawe i Pom. in the district of the Prussian province of Pomerania Pomerania. In New Hagen was the seat of the registry office Peter Hagen. Office by the court of the place was oriented to Rügenwalde.

Towards the end of World War II New Hagen was occupied on March 6, 1945 by Red Army soldiers. In 1947 New Hagen People's Republic of Poland under Polish administration. The indigenous population was expelled by the Poles. New Hagen was renamed by the Polish authorities in Jeżyczki. The village is now a part of Gmina Darłowo in powiat Slawienski the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Church

Prior to 1945, was the majority of the inhabitants of New Hagen, Abbey Protestant denomination. The town had no church of its own, but was oriented by Peter Hagen ( Pęciszewko ). The parish was in the church circle Rügenwalde in the ecclesiastical province of the Church of the Old Prussian Pomerania Union.

Since 1945 Jeżyczki is almost exclusively Catholic. The village is in the parish Jeżyce ( Old Hagen) integrated, which is part of the deanery in the Diocese of Koszalin - Kolobrzeg Darłowo of the Catholic Church in Poland. Evangelical Church members are looked after by the parish office in Koszalin ( Koszalin ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.

School

The former Neuenhagener school was einklassig. In the 20s of the 20th century a new, this time zweiklassiges school building was erected, which was inaugurated in 1928.
