Jill Schoelen

Jill Schoelen ( born March 21, 1963 in Burbank, California) is an American actress.

Life and career

Schoelen is the daughter of fashion designer Dorothy Schoelen. She learned the art of acting at the Acting for Life Theatre in her hometown. Schoelen debuted alongside Crispin Glover and Nicolas Cage in a larger role in the TV movie Best of Times (1981). In the comedy The anarchists Clique (1983 ) by Joel Schumacher, she was in a small supporting role alongside Adam Baldwin, to see Mr. T and Gary Busey.

In the TV drama Happy Endings (1983 ) played Schoelen one of the major roles for which she was nominated in 1985 for the Young Artist Award. In the crime drama guys out of control (1985 ) she starred opposite Emilio Estevez. In Adventure Adventure in Toyland (1986 ) played Schoelen alongside Keanu Reeves and Drew Barrymore.

In the thriller The Stepfather (1987 ) Schoelen played the role of a teenager, the step-father ( Terry O'Quinn ) are increasingly distrusted. For this role she won in 1987 a prize from the Sitges Festival Internacional de Cinema de Catalunya in 1988 and nominated for the Young Artist Award. Skinned alive ... In the horror film Skinner ( 1991) she played the lead role. After a nine year break, she appeared in a leading role in the short film She Kept Silent ( 2004).

End of the 1980s was Schoelen few months with Brad Pitt, her film partners Death Party II (1989 ), romantically involved. In the years 1993-2001 she was married to the composer Anthony Marinelli. The marriage produced two sons were born.
