Jimmy Bryant (singer)

Jim or Jimmy Bryant ( born June 2, 1929 as James Howard Bryant in Birmingham ( Alabama)) is an American singer and composer.

Bryant studied composition at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. In 1953 he came to New York City where he was active as a background singer. For the worldwide success West Side Story he contributed the vocals for the lead actor Richard Beymer. For the U.S. films Bye Bye Birdie (1963) and Thoroughly Modern Millie (1967 ) he sang a song each song as a Double.

As a composer, he created music for the theme parks Disney World and Tokyo Disneyland, as well as the music of numerous commercials.
