Jimmy Roberts (composer)

Jimmy Roberts is an American composer who has worked mainly in the areas of stage music, musicals and television.

Life

Jimmy Roberts graduated from the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied with Constance Keene piano. Located in New York Off-Broadway published by Jimmy Roberts A ... My Name Is Still Alice and Pets! as well as music to Joe DiPietros Over the River and Through the Woods and the children's musical The Velvet Rabbit. For television, he wrote the theme for shipment Theater Talk on WNET - TV. He was musical director and co- arranger of Somewhere Over the Rainbow and Yip Harburg America. Together with the playwright Joe DiPietro, he wrote the play The Thing About Men after the movie Men by Doris Dorrie.

In 1996 landed the two their big hit, the Off- Broadway musical I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. The play has been running in New York and was also staged at many other places, in the German speaking first in Wuppertal TiC and Vienna.
