Joe DiPietro

Joe DiPietro ( born 1961 ) is an American playwright, who works primarily in the areas of off-Broadway and musicals.

Joe DiPietro wrote among other things the Off- Broadway play Over the River and Through the Woods, which was played in over one hundred productions. His comic thriller The Art of Murder won the 2000 Edgar Award ( a kind of " Oscar" for crime writers ) for the best piece. Joe DiPietro also wrote the book for the "new " Gershwin musical They all laughed! , And a new libretto version of Rodgers & Hammerstein 's Allegro. 2003, it was his musical Can not help falling in love with songs by Elvis Presley on stage. Together with composer Jimmy Roberts, he wrote the play The Thing about Men after the movie Men by Doris Dorrie.
