Jimmy Sangster

James Henry " Jimmy" Kinmel Sangster ( born December 2, 1927 in Kinmel Bay, Wales, † August 19 2011 in London) was a British film director and screenwriter who was best known for his manuscripts for the central horror film productions of Hammer Films.

Life

Sangster came in 1941 as a second camera assistant to the film. From 1944 to 1954 he was involved in a plethora of B- films as an assistant director, including " Whispering Smith Hits London ", " blackmailer " ( The Last Page ), "Stolen Face" and " Murder by Proxy". Several times he worked with the director and later Hammer Horror film specialist Terence Fisher.
