Jimmy Vasser

Jimmy Vasser ( born November 20, 1965 in Canoga Park, California, USA) is an American race car driver and overall winner of the Champ Car season 1996.


After he had previously competed in the Toyota Atlantic Series, Vasser closed his first Champ Car season 1992 off with a seventh place overall. After a total of 232 races and the overall title in 1996 in this series he is now active as a co-owner of KV Racing team, start for the 2009 season, Mario Moraes and Paul Tracy in the IndyCar Series as a driver. Even driving was Vasser most recently in January 2009, together with others with Jimmie Johnson seventh overall in the 24- hour race at Daytona on a Pontiac.

Vasser now lives in Las Vegas.
