Jiřina Bohdalová

Jirina Bohdalová ( May 3, 1931 in Prague ) is a Czech theater, film and television actress.

Life

Her first film appearances she had as a child, including in 1940 as a nine- year-old in Václav Binovec ' Madla zpívá Evrope. However, she started her career as a teacher and kindergarten teacher. Mid-1950s, she found the film and studied until 1957 at the Theater Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Then she played in the ABC Theatre together with Jan Werich. Since 1967 she is member of the Vinohrady.

With Milan Vosmiks Honzíkova cesta she started her movie acting career in 1956. They often appeared in musical comedies, which were very popular with the local audience: it was 1966 na kolejích successful in the role of Marie in a streetcar Ladislav Rychmans Dáma. Since the 1970s she appeared frequently in television films and series on, often under Jindřich Polák. She played the lead female role in Karel Steklýs Všichni proti všem (1977) and the aunt Evženie in the Czech- German co-production The Magic Raven Rumburak (1984).

Since 1985, she has the title " deserved artist ". She gained popularity as a reader of children's fairy tales in children's programs. She is also active in dubbing. Their daughter Simona Stašová is also a renowned actress.

Jirina Bohdalová came in the 1990s under the suspicion of having collaborated with the communist secret police StB. The court, however, turned out that they had been in the employee lists made ​​public wrongly. though her family was persecuted in the 1950s and her father spent six years in prison.
