Jiver Hutchinson

Leslie George " Jiver " Hutchinson ( born March 16, 1906 in Jamaica, † November 22, 1959 in Weeting in Norfolk ) was an operative in the UK band leader and jazz trumpeter.

Hutchinson played in the West Indies Regimental band and Bertie King in Jamaica before he came to England in 1935. He played in the band of Happy Blake in Cuba and with the Emperor's Club of Jazz by Leslie Thompson (1901-1987), also from Jamaica, and then their successor band under Ken " Snakehips " Johnson (1914-1941, he came from British Guiana ) from 1936. was followed by several other bands, including he also led his own band in 1939, a Florida club in London. 1943/44, he was in the band of Geraldo ( 1904-1974 ) are on tour in the Middle East.
