Jo Benkow
Jo Benkow (actually Josef Elias Benko joke; born August 15, 1924 in Trondheim, † May 18, 2013 in Oslo) was a Norwegian conservative politician. He was a member of the Norwegian Parliament from 1965 to 1993, from 1985 as a Parliament, President of the Conservative Party Høyre 1980-1984 and conservative faction Officer of 1981 until 1985.
Benkow was a member of the small Jewish community of Norway and the Jewish faith and worked as a photographer before he went into politics.
