João Bosco de Freitas Chaves

João Bosco de Freitas Chaves or just Bosco ( born November 14, 1974 in Escada ) is a former Brazilian footballer. By 2011, the goalkeeper stood at FC São Paulo under contract.

Career

Association

Bosco began his professional career in 1993 with the Brazilian club Sport Recife. In seven years in sports, the keeper was able to gather numerous titles with the club. In the years 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000, they secured the state championship in each of Pernambuco, and also 2000, the Copa do Nordeste. At the beginning of 2001, he moved to Bosco Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte. About Associação Portuguesa de Desportos he returned in 2003, again to Recife back where he won the state championship with his team again. During the 2004 season, parted both sides after Bosco did not come on the reservists role beyond. He signed on with the then second division Fortaleza EC, with which he was able to complete as the number one between the posts the Série B as runner-up. The following year they won the State Championship of Ceará. At the end of 2005, the FEC sold his goalkeeper to Sao Paulo, where Bosco celebrated his greatest successes. Shortly after his commitment, he won São Paulo, the FIFA Club World Cup, but was as a substitute for Rogério Ceni just spectators in the victory. 2006, 2007 and 2008, he won the Brazilian championship with the SPFC. 2009 extended the club Board of Directors for a further year until the end of 2010. Between 2006 and 2009, Bosco was on the previous four appearances in the Copa Libertadores for the Sao Paulo. In the same period, the keeper came to 22 league operations.

National

Bosco was first invited to the squad of the Brazilian national team in 1999. He was the last time called to the squad in 2001. Though he never played for the national team of Brazil.

Life

Bosco comes from a poor family. As a teenager, he borrowed money from his siblings to regularly come by bus to soccer practice. Early on he came into contact with drugs and alcohol. 17 years old, the goalkeeper was married.
