João Pedro Geraldino dos Santos Galvão (born 9 March 1992 Ipatinga, Minas Gerais ), better known as João Pedro, is a Brazilian footballer. Currently, he plays in the first division side GD Estoril Praia Portugal.

Club career

João Pedro played from 2006 to 2010 in the junior department of Atlético Mineiro. On 23 May 2010 he made ​​his debut in a 3-1 victory over Atletico Paranaense in the first team. Only three months later, he was obliged by the Italian first division side U.S. Palermo. In midfield, the young Brazilians met but on big-name competitors such as Javier Pastore and therefore mainly played in the professional Campionato Primavera Youth League. In the second half of the season João Pedro was awarded to the Portuguese first division club Vitória Guimarães. In order to obtain more match practice, the midfielder was awarded again at the beginning of the 2011/12 season. This time he made his way to CA Peñarol in Uruguay. In the Torneo Apertura, he scored six goals in 13 games and was the third- leading scorer. However, in the second half he came only to two short sessions.

Since July 2012 he is back in his Brazilian home to FC Santos under contract. On the side of star striker Neymar, he was initially able to gain some match practice here. After another short-term lending with the Portuguese club Vitória Guimarães in the spring of 2013, João Pedro joined in summer 2013 also on loan to their Premier League rivals GD Estoril Praia.

National

João Pedro participated with the Brazilian U- 17 national team at the U-17 World Cup 2009 and the U-17 South American Championship football in the same year. The South American championship he won with his team after a penalty shootout in the final against Argentina.
