Joe Roth

Joe Roth ( born July 13, 1948 in New York City ) is an American film director, film producer and former CEO of 20th Century Fox ( 1989-1993), and Walt Disney Studios (1994-2000 ).

Life

Joe Roth was a plastic factory as the son of Lawrence Roth, a foreman. In 1959, he assisted his father to support the attempt by the American Civil Liberties Union to prohibit prayer in public schools. The complaint was upheld in 1962 by the Supreme Court of the United States and classified public prayer as unconstitutional. The case has become known under the name of v. Vitale angel.

Joe Roth is married to producer Donna Roth, which he is the brother of producer Lou Arkoff and the son of the late film producer Samuel Z. Arkoff.
