Joel Osteen

Joel Osteen ( born March 5, 1963) is an American entrepreneur, motivational speaker, author and preacher of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. Every week more than 45,000 people follow his lectures live on site and a further 10 million people worldwide through his TV shows, which include Germany are transmitted from God TV and CNBC Europe.

Joel Osteen is the son of the founder of Lakewood Church, John Osteen. He is the author of several books which have been translated internationally. Some of his events he performs together with Joyce Meyer.

He is married to Victoria Osteen and has two children.

Theology

Joel Osteen is seen by many as a representative of the prosperity gospel: God's will is it that people in all areas of their lives successful. Also Osteen is called as followers of the Word of Faith Movement.
