Joël Retornaz

Joël Retornaz ( born September 30, 1983 in Chêne- Bourgeries, in Geneva, Switzerland ) is a Swiss-Italian curler.

Born the son of a Swiss father and an Italian mother in Switzerland, he spent his first four and a half years. After his family moved to Italy and settled in Cembra in Trentino down.

In 1999, as part Retornaz Skip to the European Curling Challenge, which ended the team as the sixth team. The curling Juionorenweltmeisterschaft -B played Retornaz 2001-2004 as Skip, but he won the 2001 bronze medal and 2004 silver medal. The Junior Curling Championships ended Retornaz 2004 with the seventh place in 2005 with the tenth place. The Winter Universiade played Retornaz 2003, which he finished as the ninth.

Retornaz took in the years 2001, 2004, 2005 and 2007 participated in the Curling Championship, but failed to win a medal. The best result was fifth place in 2005.

At the Curling World Championships 2005 Retornaz participated as a substitute. The team finished in twelfth place.

In 2006, Retornaz as skip at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin in part. The team finished in seventh place.
