Joël Robert

Joël Robert ( * November 26, 1943 in Chatelet, Belgium ) is a former Belgian motocross racer and six time World Champion.

Robert won in 1964 as at that time the youngest driver in history to CZ for the world title in the class up to 250 cc. This was followed by three second world places two more titles with CZ. After his move to Suzuki Robert could enter three more world championships and thus win five titles in a row.

Roberts record of 50 race wins had more than 30 years in hand and was broken by Stefan Everts in 2004. Today, Robert is active as a manager of the Belgian Motocross Nations teams. In the film comedy Aaltra 2004 he had an appearance as himself
