Joel Shepherd

Joel Shepherd ( born 1974 in Adelaide ) is an Australian science fiction author. At the age of seven, he moved with his family to Perth, where he later studied film and television studies at Curtin University. Now living back in Adelaide.

He is sold to Asia, the son of Kate Shepherd, the owner of the small publishing Austral Ed, the textbooks. Joel helps his mother in this business and is therefore traveled a lot.

His first unpublished manuscript in 1998 and nominated the manuscript to crossover one year later for the George Turner Prize. His first novel crossover was nominated for the 2001 Aurealis Award for Science Fiction. This price benefits of Australian authors in the genres of science fiction, fantasy and horror are excellent.

The first two novels Shepherds describe the adventures of Cassandra Kresnov ( according to their own testimony, an artificial human being ) who has fled from their special unit in the Premier League in the city Tanusha on the Federation -Planet Callay, where she works as an expert on cognitive software.
