Joey Lauren Adams
Joey Lauren Adams ( born January 9, 1968 in North Little Rock, Arkansas ) is an American actress.
Life and achievements
After an 8- year-old made her film debut in Exorcist II - The Heretic had celebrated, it was only to see again in the early 1990s in several television series. In addition to several appearances in Married with Children between 1991 and 1993 she was also in the Top of the Heap (1991) and Verducci and son ( Vinnie & Bobby, 1992) to see.
Then she turned to Richard Linklater's film Confusion - Summer of Freaked. There she met Ben Affleck, who introduced her to his buddy Kevin Smith, in whose films she appeared regularly since then. In the comedy Chasing Amy (1997) she played alongside Affleck and Jason Lee as the female lead. For its part of the " Alyssa Jones ," it was for the Golden Globe and MTV Movie Award nominations (in two categories) in 1998 and also won the Chicago Film Critics Association Award and Las Vegas Film Critics Society Award.
She starred in the comedy Big Daddy (1999) alongside Adam Sandler one of the main roles for which she was nominated in 2000 for a Blockbuster Entertainment Award. She started with Vince Vaughn can be seen in No father of Yesterday in 1998, she worked in 2006 for the comedy The Break-Up back together. Another main role was played Jennifer Aniston.
In 2006, Adams celebrated her directorial debut with the film Come Early Morning - The way to me, for which she also wrote the screenplay. The main roles were Ashley Judd and Diane Ladd. Adams won the Dorothy Arzner Directors Award for this and was nominated for the Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize.
2006 Adams moved after eighteen years' residence in Hollywood their residence to Biloxi, Mississippi.
